Little Guys - Passion Project

13 original characters, each with their own quirky charm and story.
THE CONCEPT
The idea for Little Guys stemmed from a desire to create characters that feel like friends — comforting, quirky, and somewhat(?) relatable. Each "Little Guy" is an animal with a distinct personality, visual identity, and backstory. Some are shy, others are mischievous, but all are lovable in their own way. Together, they form a connected universe that celebrates differences and the joy of small, everyday moments.
This project was created as part of a challenge to design something every day for 30 days.

The goal was to create characters that could become anyone’s favorite character. I first created the Mayor dog Blinky, and from him I created a whole town of friends that have their lives and occupations. Each Little guy has a name, backstory, and a main personality trait.
POSTER
After I decided my 13 characters, I went straight to digitizing. Since I wanted to complete my passion project in 30 days, I developed a system: 1 character every two days. The first day I would sketch, and then second day I did the lineart and colors.
After creating characters, I illustrated a poster featuring all 13 of the characters, similar to the style of a Sanrio/Hello Kitty and Friends graphic. This poster could be hung up on the wall of a children’s room, or the room of any Little Guys enjoyer.
